I still couldn’t persuade myself to believe this when I was typing the title of this post, but yes, it is the end of summer. Honestly, from the standpoint of styling, summer is hardly the best time – you could probably have more fun playing with layers in the cooler seasons. But somehow I always find myself a bit sentimental when summer comes to an end, partly because it’s usually the season that has the most going on – travelling, moving, saying goodbye to friends and meeting new ones, so on and so forth. Anyways, as a proper farewell to the season, I am rounding up a number of my summer looks in this blog post, also as a review of some my recent purchases.
Let’s start with this “adios” t-shirt by Madewell. I fell in love with the rich blue color the moment I laid my eyes on it – well, can you really blame me?
It is a very versatile piece to style with. For the first look I paired with these embroidered skinny jeans and finished with my personalized color-block sandals by shoes of prey (for a full review of the shoe brand check here).
Another look I’m showing here with the same tee is to pair it with a satin midi skirt, which instantly elevates the entire outfit and adds just the right amount of feminine touch.
Coming up next is a mint midi dress by Chicwish, which is such a romantic and delicate piece. Again I tried styling it in a couple different ways, but the idea is simple – adding an extra layer. Other than denim jackets or blazers, throw on a leather jacket and you get yourself a whole new look!
Before wrapping up this post, one of my favorite buys that I won’t stop reminiscing about is this dotted wrap dress by Realisation. After receiving the dress, the only thing I have left to say is, there’s a reason Realisation has created such a hype on Instagram – every detail about this dress just hits the spot. It keeps the perfect balance of being fun and flirty, as well as sweet and innocent.
