Outfit 1: H&M trend top, Stuart Weitzman pumps (old, similar), , Givenchy bag
Outfit 2: Everlane shirt, Adidas sneakers
Both: ASOS skirt, huge sale, almost gone, Gentle Monster sunglasses
Let’s face it, we can never have enough mini skirts (or midi skirt, or maxi skirt, you know what I mean). Especially at this time of the year, when the long overdue spring is finally taking over, is there any better way to celebrate other than showing some skin?
This one I am happily introducing here, is my latest celebration thanks to ASOS. It is above the knee but not overly short, while the higher rise makes it more figure flattering. What I love most here (and I bet you do too) is the details, the contrasting pockets and the long metallic zipper, which really makes the whole piece stand out.
For the first outfit I decided to go with basic colors. I paired this off-the-shoulder blouse in pitch black with the skirt, and finished my look with a pair of black pumps with white trim as well as my black satchel. This is an ensemble that is great for a date night, when you would look put together without trying too hard.
What’s so good about this skirt is that you can simply tone it down with a more casual top and some sneakers. Suddenly it turns into a statement piece in an off-duty and still chic look. That is exactly what I did in the second outfit, with a sheer boxy blouse in light pink (a basic tee would also do the trick) and my trustworthy white kicks.
OK, here’s my two cents on this skirt. What is your favorite skirt and how would you style it? Let me know!
